Patient Rights & Duties
In accordance with Article 4-2 of the Medical Service Act and the notice of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the rights and obligations of patients are provided as follows. VVLY Plastic Surgery respects the rights of patients and does its best to provide safe and trustworthy medical services.
Patients have the right to receive appropriate health care services for the protection and promotion of their own health, and their rights concerning health shall not be infringed on grounds such as gender, age, religion, social status, or economic circumstances, and medical personnel may not refuse treatment without justifiable reason.
Patients have the right to receive a sufficient explanation from the attending medical staff regarding their disease condition, treatment methods, whether they are subject to medical research, treatment costs, and so on, to ask detailed questions, and to decide whether to consent to these matters.
A patient's confidentiality regarding their physical and health condition and the privacy of their personal life in relation to treatment shall not be infringed, and medical personnel and medical institutions may not disclose or reveal such confidential information except with the patient's consent or in cases stipulated by law, such as criminal investigations.
In case of medical service disputes, patients can consult and request mediation from the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency.
Patients must accurately inform medical staff of their health info and trust/respect the medical treatment plan.
Patients must reveal their identity correctly before treatment and must not receive treatment by false or illegal means like identity theft.
