About Revision Rhinoplasty

What is Revision Rhinoplasty?

What is Revision Rhinoplasty?

Revision rhino is more than... Surgery many times more precise/tough. This is because scar tissue, deformed cartilage, and damaged skin from previous surgeries must all be considered.

VVLY Plastic Surgery is Revision CasesAs one of the hospitals that most frequently handles revision rhinoplasty, we have extensive experience using autologous and donor rib cartilage. Rather than simply replacing the implant, we take an approach that reconstructs the structure of the nose itself.

To ensure no further failures, we proceed with the most accurate diagnosis and safest methods.

BESPOCO®

The most precise answer for revisions

Revision surgery is much more complicated than standard rhinoplasty due to contracture, asymmetry, and damaged tissue from previous implants.
Clear limits with ready-made implants. BESPOCO accurately diagnoses the current state of the patient's nose

01
3D Custom Implant

Customized 3D Implant

After precise CT analysis of nasal bone damaged by prior surgery, 3D printed exclusively for each patient's noseDo / Perform

  • 100% precision fit to deformed nasal bone
  • Asymmetry/left-right difference correction available
  • Thickness/curve design based on skin
  • Minimize Risk of Contracture/Shifting
02
Diced Rib Cartilage

Autologous Particle Graft

A method of dicing one's own rib cartilage into small particles before grafting. 0% Rejection RateThe safest material with the least concern for side effects.

  • Safe for life (own tissue)
  • Particle processing for natural curves/soft feel
  • Almost no risk of contracture
  • Optimal for severe contracture/3rd+ revision

F.A.Q

FAQ (Frequently Asked) Question Revision Rhinoplasty FAQ

Q.How much harder is revision than primary? +
Because revision surgery must take into account both the scar tissue from the previous surgery and the altered structure, it requires roughly 2 to 3 times the precision of standard rhinoplasty. Therefore, an accurate diagnosis by an experienced specialist is most important.
Q.Difference between autologous and donor rib? +
Autologous rib cartilage is cartilage harvested from the patient's own rib; it causes no rejection reaction and is the safest option. Donor rib cartilage is processed from the cartilage of a verified donor and has the advantage of leaving no scar. We propose the optimal choice based on the patient's condition.
Q.How many revision surgeries are possible? +
No medically fixed limit, but more sessions lead to accumulated tissue damage, making it harder. Thus, perfecting it in one revision is crucial.
Q.How many months after surgery is revision possible? +
In general, revision surgery is possible only after at least 6 months to 1 year following the previous surgery, once the tissue has stabilized. However, in cases caused by inflammation or side effects, it may need to be performed more quickly.
Q.How much does revision surgery cost? +
The cost of revision surgery varies depending on the materials used (autologous rib / donor rib / septum, etc.) and the scope of surgery. The exact cost will be provided after a one-on-one consultation, and you can inquire freely through a complimentary consultation.
